Meghan Carmichael, originally from Cape Cod MA, graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Contemporary Dance. While at UNCSA she studied and performed works by Jose Limon, Alwin Nikolais, and Merce Cunningham; and worked with choreographers Doug Elkins, Eric Oberdorff, and Helen Simoneau. She has participated in workshops with the Ailey, Cunningham and Limon Companies, and at the Impulstanz International Dance Festival in 2012. In the years since graduating, she has performed for the Lincoln Center Institute, Cunningham Trust, and Robot Church in New York and was a child wrangler for the "Little Fiona" understudy for the National Tour of Shrek. She also spent a year traveling throughout Europe to further explore the international contemporary dance world. In 2014, she has been dancing for Ali Kenner Brodsky and Jessica Howard in the Providence RI area, as well as teaching and choreographing on Cape Cod.
